The Close Call in the Woods: Outsmarting a Bear with a Terrible Taste

Two friends, Jim and Bob, were out hiking in the woods when they stumbled upon a bear. They both froze in fear as the bear growled and approached them.

Jim whispered to Bob, "We need to run, bears can run faster than us!"

Bob replied, "I can't outrun a bear, I only need to outrun you!"

Jim rolled his eyes and said, "That's not funny, Bob. We need to think of a plan to escape!"

Bob thought for a moment and said, "I know, let's play dead! Maybe the bear will leave us alone if it thinks we're already dead."

So they both dropped to the ground and closed their eyes, trying to pretend to be lifeless. The bear sniffed around them for a moment before nudging Jim with its paws.

Jim whispered, "Bob, the bear is touching me, what do we do now?"

Bob replied, "Just hold on, Jim. I'm trying to convince it that you taste terrible!"

They both burst into laughter as the bear gave up and wandered away. Jim and Bob got up, dusted themselves off, and continued on their hike.

Jim said to Bob, "Well, that was a close call. But at least we outsmarted the bear!"

Bob grinned and said, "Yeah, but don't think I'll forget that you taste terrible. I might just leave you behind next time!"
