The Bear and the Bet

Two friends, Rick and Tom, decided to go on a hunting trip in the woods. They set up their campsite and went out in search of some animals to hunt. After a few hours, they hadn't had any luck and were getting frustrated.

As they were walking through the forest, they stumbled upon a clearing where they saw a bear. Tom immediately turned to Rick and said, "I'll bet you $100 that I can outrun that bear."

Rick looked at the bear and then back at Tom, "You're on!" he said as he handed over the $100.

Tom took off running, with the bear hot on his heels. Just as it seemed like the bear was going to catch him, Tom tripped and fell. The bear stopped in its tracks and walked up to Tom, sniffing him curiously. To everyone's surprise, the bear leaned in close to Tom and whispered something in his ear.

Tom got up and walked back to Rick, who was dumbfounded. "What did the bear say to you?!" Rick asked eagerly.

Tom replied, "The bear said, 'You owe your friend $200 for being a slow runner!'"
