A man walks into a bar and orders a drink. As he's sitting there enjoying his beverage, he notices a monkey sitting at the bar next to him. The monkey is sipping on a beer and smoking a cigar.
The man is amazed and turns to the bartender to ask about the monkey. The bartender explains that the monkey is a regular at the bar and has become quite the local celebrity.
Intrigued, the man decides to strike up a conversation with the monkey. To his surprise, the monkey is incredibly intelligent and articulate. They end up talking for hours about everything from politics to philosophy.
As the night goes on, the man starts to get hungry and asks the monkey if he knows of any good places to grab a bite to eat. The monkey says he knows a great restaurant just down the street and suggests they go together.
The man and the monkey walk into the restaurant and grab a table. As they're looking over the menu, the waiter comes over and asks for their order. The man decides to go with the steak and the monkey orders the lobster.
When the waiter brings out their meals, the man is shocked to see that the monkey is using a knife and fork to eat his lobster. He's never seen anything like it before.
After they finish their meal, the man and the monkey head back to the bar where they continue their conversation late into the night. Eventually, it's time for the man to head home.
As he's leaving, the man turns to the monkey and says, "I can't believe how smart and sophisticated you are. You truly are one of a kind."
The monkey looks at him and replies, "Well, you know what they say…monkey see, monkey do!"
