A man walks into a bar and sees a sign that says, "Free drinks for a year to anyone who can make my horse laugh."
The man thinks, "I'm a pretty funny guy, I can definitely make a horse laugh." So he goes up to the bartender and says, "I'll give it a shot."
The bartender takes him out back where the horse is, and the man starts telling joke after joke, trying to get a laugh out of the horse. But no matter how hard he tries, the horse just stands there with a straight face.
After an hour of trying, the man finally gives up and says, "I guess I'm just not as funny as I thought."
The bartender looks at him and says, "Well, I guess you won't be getting free drinks for a year then."
The man responds, "Oh, I'm not worried about that. I'm more concerned about how I'm going to tell my wife that I couldn't make a horse laugh."
