There were three friends who were stranded on a deserted island. After days of struggling to survive, they were starting to lose hope. One day, they stumbled upon a magical lamp buried in the sand.
Excitedly, they rubbed the lamp and out popped a genie. The genie promised to grant each of them one wish.
The first friend wished to be rescued and taken back home. In a puff of smoke, he disappeared from the island and reappeared in his own living room.
The second friend thought for a moment and then wished for a boat to take him back to civilization. Just like that, a boat appeared on the shore and he sailed off into the horizon.
The third friend, feeling a bit mischievous, said, "I wish my two friends were back here with me on the island."
And just like that, they were all stranded on the island again, cursing the day they found that darn magical lamp.
