The Misadventures of Happy Gilmore on the Golf Course

Two friends were out golfing and one was having a particularly bad day. Every putt he made seemed to miss, every drive went into the rough, and he was becoming increasingly frustrated.

His friend, trying to lighten the mood, suggested they try a different approach. "Why don't you try playing like Happy Gilmore?" he said, referring to the Adam Sandler movie where the main character takes running starts at his shots.

So, the frustrated golfer decided to give it a shot. He took a running start, swung his club, and to everyone's surprise, he hit the ball perfectly down the fairway.

Excited by his success, he decided to try it again on the next hole. This time, however, things did not go as planned.

As he ran up to his shot, he swung his club with all his might, only to have it slip out of his hands and go flying into the nearby forest.

Embarrassed, he and his friend went to look for the club, but after an hour of searching, they still couldn't find it.

Finally, they gave up and went back to the clubhouse to ask if anyone had turned it in.

The bartender laughed and said, "Oh yeah, someone turned in a club that had 'Property of Happy Gilmore' written on it. Is that yours?"

The golfer's face turned bright red as he sheepishly nodded and handed over his club.

From that day on, he decided it was probably better to stick to playing golf the old-fashioned way.
