A man walks into a bar and sees a sign that says, "Free drinks for the person who can make our horse laugh." So the man walks up to the bartender and asks what the deal is with the horse.
The bartender explains that they have a horse in the back room who is always grumpy and never smiles. The man decides to give it a shot and walks into the back room where he sees the horse looking extremely bored.
The man whispers something into the horse's ear and suddenly the horse starts laughing hysterically. The bartender is amazed and gives the man a free drink.
The man comes back to the bar the next day and sees a new sign that says, "Free drinks for the person who can make the horse cry." So the man goes back to the bartender and asks what's up with the horse now.
The bartender explains that the horse has been in a bad mood all day and they can't seem to cheer him up. The man once again decides to give it a shot and walks into the back room.
He whispers something into the horse's ear and suddenly the horse bursts into tears. The bartender is stunned and gives the man another free drink.
The man comes back to the bar the following day and sees a new sign that says, "Free drinks for the person who can make the horse stop crying." The man walks up to the bartender and says, "I think I know what to do."
He walks into the back room and a few moments later, the horse stops crying and starts laughing. The bartender is astounded and asks the man how he did it.
The man responds, "Yesterday I told him I had a bigger carrot than he did. Today, I showed it to him."
