A young man walks into a bar and sees a sign that says, "Free drinks for a year to anyone who can make our horse laugh."
The man thinks to himself, "I've got nothing to lose," so he walks up to the bartender and asks to give it a shot. The bartender leads him to the horse, which is standing in the corner looking quite grumpy.
The man whispers something in the horse's ear and suddenly, the horse bursts out laughing – rolling on the ground, tears streaming down its face. The bartender is amazed and says, "Congratulations, you've won free drinks for a year! But I have to ask, what did you say to make the horse laugh?"
The man grins and says, "I just told him that my salary is higher than a carrot's."
