A man walks into a bar and orders a drink. As he's sitting there, he notices a small sign on the wall that reads, "Grilled cheese sandwiches – $1."
He calls the bartender over and asks him about the sign. The bartender explains that they have a special promotion where they sell grilled cheese sandwiches for only a dollar. The man is intrigued, so he orders one.
When the bartender brings over the sandwich, the man takes a bite and immediately spits it out. It tastes terrible! He calls the bartender over again and says, "This sandwich is disgusting! I can't believe you're selling it for a dollar."
The bartender smirks and says, "Well, you get what you pay for. If you want a better sandwich, it'll cost you $2."
The man laughs and says, "Fine, I'll take the $2 sandwich." The bartender brings over the sandwich, and the man takes a bite. It's absolutely delicious! He's shocked at how good it is.
As he's finishing up his meal, the man asks the bartender, "How do you make such amazing sandwiches for only $2? What's the secret ingredient?"
The bartender leans in and whispers, "The $1 sandwich."
