The Art of Survival: Outrunning Bears and Friends

Two men were walking through the forest when they suddenly came across a bear. As soon as they saw the bear, one of the men bent down and started lacing up his running shoes.

The other man said, "What are you doing? You can't outrun a bear!"

The first man replied, "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you!"

The second man quickly realized the logic in that statement and started running as fast as he could. The bear took off after him, but soon realized he couldn't catch up.

As the second man was running for his life, he looked back and saw the first man sitting down on a rock, calmly tying his shoes.

Confused, the second man shouted, "What are you doing? Why aren't you running?"

The first man replied with a smile, "I may be slower than you, but I don't have to be faster than the bear – just faster than you!"
