Close Call with a Bear in the Woods

Two friends were out hiking in the woods when they heard a rustling in the bushes. Suddenly, a big, angry bear appeared and started chasing after them. They ran as fast as they could, but the bear was gaining on them.

One friend turned to the other and said, "I don't think we can outrun this bear. What should we do?"

The other friend replied, "I heard that bears don't like the taste of humans, so maybe if we pretend to be dead, it will leave us alone."

So they both dropped to the ground and lay still, trying to play dead. The bear sniffed around them, nudged them with its nose, but eventually got bored and walked away.

After the bear was out of sight, one friend turned to the other and said, "Phew, that was a close call. Do you think the bear believed we were really dead?"

The other friend replied, "I don't know about the bear, but I was pretty convinced until you started snoring."
